What Is Zinc Methionine?
Zinc Methionine Complex is an organic compound that contains the trace mineral zinc chemically bonded to the essential amino acid methionine.

Zinc is a trace mineral required by animals to maintain many biological functions. Both the animal (and in ruminants, the microbial population in the rumen) require supplemental zinc since typical feedstuffs are zinc-deficient. There is very little storage in the body of zinc; thus the animal diet must contain enough absorbable zinc to meet daily requirements.
Methionine is an essential sulfur-containing amino acid. However, methionine is one of the most limiting amino acids in animal diets and cannot be synthesized in enough quantity by the animal to meet daily requirements.
